Karti urges SC to hear him

New Delhi. Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram urged the Supreme Court on Saturday not to pass any order without hearing him if the Enforcement Directorate challenges Delhi High Court’s interim order. Karti is being investigated in the INX Media case.

The High Court on Friday ordered the investigating agency not to arrest him till March 20, when it will take up the matter again. In his plea before the High Court, Karti had claimed that the agency did not have the jurisdiction to issue notices based on a First Information Report that the CBI had filed. However, a special court in Delhi’s Patiala House Courts complex on Friday granted the CBI Karti Chidambaram’s custody till March 12.
