Prasad threatens to summon FB CEO
New Delhi. As the nation woke up to the dreaded news of Facebook data theft, the Centre took cognizance of the situation and warned the Facebook founder that if any data theft of Indians is done with the collusion of FB systems, it will not be tolerated.
Mr. Mark Zuckerberg you better know the observation of IT Minister of India, if any data theft of Indians is done with the collusion of FB systems, it will not be tolerated. We have got stringent powers in the IT Act including summoning you in India, Prasad warned. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister for Information Technology and Law, addressed a press conference after the British data analytics firm Cambridge Analytica, came into the spotlight following allegations of harvesting of personal data of Facebook users beginning in 2014.
