Jammu : Five soldiers were killed while nine others, including five women and children, were injured when a group of heavily-armed Jaish-e-Mohammed fidayeen stormed Sunjwan army camp in Jammu outskirts early Saturday morning.
Four fidayeen were also neutralized. Audacious terror attack, first of its kind in 2018, also exposed persisting chinks in significant security installations, including this heavily guarded Military Station of 36 Brigade, despite repeated terror attacks and intelligence inputs. The fidayeen gained an entry inside the Military Station (36 Brigade) from backside at around 4.50 AM or so. The encounter began after they were challenged by the sentries. After brief firing, they entered nearby family quarters in the complex. Immediately army rushed Quick Response Teams and deployed commandos to neutralise the fidayeen.
