बर्मिंघम को सौंपी जिम्मेदारी
बर्मिंघम। राष्ट्रमंडल खेल महासंघ (सीजीएफ) ने 2022 राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों के आयोजन के लिए बर्मिंघम शहर का चयन किया है। यहां खेलों का आयोजन 27 जुलाई से 7 अगस्त 2022 तक होगा। सीजीएफ के अध्यक्ष लुइस मार्टिन सीबीई ने कहा कि हम बर्मिंघम और इंग्लैंड को बधाई देते हैं। यह इस शहर के लिए सच में एक शानदार पल है। इंग्लैंड में कई खेलों का आयोजन हुआ है। जिसमें मैनचेस्टर में 2002 में आयोजित हुए राष्ट्रमंडल खेल, 2012 लंदन ओलम्पिक, 2014 ग्लास्गो जैसे खेल शामिल हैं। सीजीएफ के अध्यक्ष ने 2022 राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों की मेजबानी हेतु दावेदारी पेश करने के लिए आॅस्ट्रेलिया, मलेशिया और कनाडा का आभार भी माना। खेलों पर लगभग 750 मिलियन यूरो खर्च होने की संभावना है। सरकार ने 560 मिलियन यूरो का खर्च वहन करने की जिम्मेदारी ली है। शेष राशि की व्यवस्था लोकल काउंसिल करेगी।
